Nicole R. Lewis
Nicole R. Lewis was born and raised in Vallejo, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University Fresno and her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California. Nicole has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2001.
Prior to practicing law, Nicole worked for James Hahn’s mayoral campaign and then for the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office. She was a Mayoral Aide for Mayor James Hahn until July 2002 when she began her legal career as a Child Support Services Department Staff Attorney for the County of Los Angeles.
Nicole has spent most of her career as a solo-practitioner and now practices all aspects of family law. She is especially known for being an honest and compassionate practitioner. She not only listens to her clients, but she also understands that many aspects of the family law process are difficult for individuals to navigate on their own. She is a trusted leader and has often handled other legal matters that her clients have faced.
In addition to practicing law, Nicole has served as an Adjunct Law Professor at Irvine University College of Law where she taught torts and criminal law to first-year law students.
When Nicole is not practicing law, she enjoys participating in fitness related activities and events. Nicole is a professional natural bodybuilder and competes in multiple shows throughout the year.. Nicole is also a Fitness Expert Contributor for STRONG Fitness Magazine.
Paralegal
Jessica Melton
Jessica was born and raised in the East Bay.
She received her Associates of Arts degree in Special Education at Diablo Valley College in 2015. Then in 2017, Ms. Melton graduated with her Paralegal Degree from the School of Law at John F. Kennedy University.
Jessica has worked in may sectors of law. However, family law remains her favorite.
When Jessica is not working, she enjoys volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Contra Costa and doing anything crafty. Additionally, Ms. Melton is the past Vice President of the Mt. Diablo Chapter of the Legal Professionals Inc. Finally, Jessica also serves as a notary public.
Paralegal
Mary Lou Floyd, CCLS
Mary Lou was born in Pittsburg, California and raised in the East Bay area.
She has been a paralegal for over 20 years, having received her paralegal certificate in 1983. She earned a Master’s degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and is a California Certified Legal Secretary.
Mary Lou has worked in many areas of law including Family Law, Probate/Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation. She is also a Certified Life, Relationship, and Stress Management coach.
Mary Lou has been married for over 30 years, is an avid “glamper,” enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Mary Lou is currently the Parliamentarian for Mt. Diablo Legal Professionals, a chapter of Legal Professionals, Inc.
